As I packed my bags early on this Sunday morning, I smiled at the bonus of beautiful weather. There isn’t much in this world that fills my veins with such excitement than the opportunity to tell another story of another happy couple embarking on a journey toward discovering the true beauty of marriage.
Krys and Dave locked eyes as teenagers. I have known Krys since middle school and I always admired her and Dave’s relationship. In particular, seeing the way he worked and supported her while she managed her studies at Towson University showed how truly selfless he is… and just how much he adores her. I have watched their love blossom over the years, so when Krys asked me to capture their engagement and wedding photos, I was truly honored.
When we started envisioning their engagement shoot, we considered ten different locations and they eventually decided on the Jefferson Memorial and DC Yards Park.
From beginning to end, their session was amazing. They were natural in their “poses” if you can even consider it posing. Everything flowed so freely between these two, as if their day jobs are spent in front of a camera.
As a result, I was able to spend my time behind the camera experimenting with different angles, lighting, backdrops, and moods. We captured everything from serious and intense to fun and playful! This is one of the best engagement sessions I have ever photographed, and I don’t think it can be understated how much these two love each other and just belong in each other’s presence. I mean the proof is in the pudding… errr, the pictures!
